All members are entitled to receive all notices and publications sent out by the College, and to attend and speak at general meetings but only Full Members and Fellows can vote at general meetings

Criteria to define active and dormant membership for full members and fellows:

Active Full Member must have a minimum of 30 credit points or more accredited by the credit points scheme of the Quality Assurance & Accreditation. Full Members who fail to achieve this will be Dormant Full Members.

Active Fellows must obtain the Certificate of Quality Assurance to maintain their active Fellowship. With the exception of Honorary Fellows, all other Fellows who fail to obtain the Certificate of Quality Assurance will be Dormant Fellows.

The Council shall in its entire discretion determine whether or not a person applying for membership shall be admitted as a member of the College and shall not be obliged to inform a rejected applicant of the reason for his rejection.

 

Please indicate in details the following if applicable:

  • Previous criminal record or current criminal investigation in any jurisdiction.
  • Previous medical council disciplinary record or equivalent in any jurisdiction.
  • Current medical disciplinary investigation or proceedings in any jurisdiction.
 

The objectives of the Hong Kong College of Family Physicians are:

  • to provide continuing education to medical practitioners
  • to co-ordinate with medical schools and other institutions in the vocational training for family medicine
  • to advance the recognition of family medicine as a discipline in itself
